Instructions for the Watchlist Gadget for eBay

The Watchlist Gadget integrates into the Windows Vista Sidebar to provide a direct view of all of the items in the Watching section on "My eBay". Item information can be refreshed manually or automatically at pre-defined intervals. Just click on an item to quickly open its auction page in the designated browser to view or make a quick bid.

Information about the Watchlist Gadget for eBay

Auction data in the Watchlist Gadget is retrieved directly from the eBay database of "My eBay". This requires authorization of the program on eBay using the eBay user sign in data. For this purpose, the program will lead users through a three-step authorization process.

Once the authorization has been successfully completed, the eBay Watchlist Gadget will retrieve all articles in the Watching section of "My eBay", display them and refresh there information regularly.

General Gadget Information for the Windows Vista Sidebar

The Windows Vista Sidebar is located on the right edge of the screen. If the Sidebar has been closed, just enter "sidebar" in the Start menu to re-open it.

After downloading and executing the Gadget file, it should automatically start and attach itself to the Sidebar.

If this is not the case, or if in the meantime, the sidebar has been closed, just click on the "Plus" sign at the top edge of the Windows Sidebar to activate it or any other of the available System Gadgets.
